From 1921 to as recently as 1979, many women were legally banned from playing football in various countries around the world.Women still played football in secret, and in great numbers, but the ban has meant that women’s football throughout this era – spanning much of the twentieth century – was never properly recorded. And if this part of history still remains untold, It's time to tell it.
